Affordable Drill Towers Holds Benefit Training

Affordable Drill Towers teamed up with TEEX, Williamson County ESD #3 (Hutto Fire Rescue), Bastrop County ESD #2, and some of the top fire instructors in the U.S. for it's 2020 Winter Training Event.

The event, held on January 18-19, 2020, benefited the Lt. Joseph P. DiBernardo Memorial Foundation.

This weekend, Steve Sanguedolce presented a check to the DiBernardo family for $5,000 for the Lt. Joseph P. DiBernardo Memorial Foundation.

"Mrs. D, it is us that are honored and feel fortunate to be in a position to contribute to such a worthy charity. You, Chief D (Joe DiBernardo), Kevin, and the rest of the Joey D Foundation are doing such a great thing; not only preserving Joey’s legacy, but saving other firefighters lives through the grant program," says Steve Sanguedolce, CEO/President of Affordable Drill Towers.

Cheer on Sam Williamson in Walk the Walk 100 to Show Support for Veterans and Firefighters


Through the generous support of the Bird’s Eye View Project (BEVP), the Lt. Joseph P. DiBernardo Memorial Foundation is able to provide training and equipment to firefighters in need throughout North America. We are excited to partner with them on their newest extreme sporting event, Walk the Walk 100. BEVP Board Member Sam Williamson is taking on this personal extreme mission to serve veterans and first responders who have and continue to serve us. On October 26 - 27, 2019, Sam’s personal journey is to raise $100,000 by walking 100 miles from Waco to Dallas, Texas.

This 100 mile trek will be divided into sections dedicated to each of the 2019 BEVP charities, including the Lt. Joseph P. DiBernardo Memorial Foundation.

Bob Farrell Champions Firefighter Safety With Donation

Captain Bob Farrell, our friend at Fire Hooks Unlimited, continues to show his support for the Lt. Joseph P. DiBernardo Memorial Foundation and the fire service. His generous donation of $20,000 will help the Foundation provide training and personal safety rope systems for firefighters throughout North America.

Bob, a former Navy Frog/UDT man and highly decorated member of FDNY, served at Ladder 31 during the "war years" and the filming of the 1972 TV documentary "Man Alive: The Bronx is Burning." Of his many awards, 19 in all, Bob was awarded the FDNY’s highest medal for bravery - James Gordon Bennett medal. During the 2015 seminar, Bob was one of the “Bronx is Burning” legends who participated in the panel discussion and meet and greet with students. After an historic career with FDNY, Bob went on to become the President/Founder of Fire Hooks Unlimited, designing and manufacturing fire hooks and tools.

"Through Bob's generosity, we can continue to train firefighters in the U.S. and Canada," says Chief DiBernardo, Foundation President. "Bob Farrell is a great friend; we are honored and grateful to have him as a partner the important work of keeping firefighters safe. Captain Bob Farrell and Fire Hooks Unlimited Continues to Support the Fire Service

A Sneak Peek at the 2015 Seminar Humidor/Momento Box

Each year, one lucky seminar attendee takes home a one-of-a-kind treasure handcrafted by Chief Mike Nugent at Black Pearl Wood Works.  Starting at the first seminar in 2013, Chief Nugent's tribute to his friend Joey has become a seminar tradition.  Featuring a new design each year, the humidor/momento box is an outstanding way to remember Joey and a reminder of the great weekend of training and new friendships with other firefighters from around the country.
