Ropes Extended in Name of Hero Firefighter Who Didn’t Have OneMay 29, 2014- Joseph DiBernardo Jr. didn’t want to capitalize on the Black Sunday fire in which he’d been seriously injured in 2005, instead he traveled the country teaching firefighters about safety. After his death in 2011, a Memorial Foundation was established in his name to continue his work.

Joey DiBernardo. The 4th Annual Lt. Joseph P. DiBernardo Memorial Foundation Seminar held on November 4-5, 2016 will benefit the Foundation's grant program for personal life safety systems.
